As you’d expect from the incredibly luxurious and exclusive Mandalay Estate, it houses a host of rooms and features which are provided to make your holiday amazing; Mandalay has it all and more.
Being located on such a beautiful island, it will comes as no surprise that as much effort went into the external architecture of the property as it did on the internal. Being a real tropical paradise means that Mandalay Estate has a number of places to hide away in when you’re outside. The villa itself is set within six acres of gardens and centres around a beautiful Koi pond. Mandalay has both a luxurious infinity pool and children’s paddling pool so the whole family can enjoy a swim or splash.
If you want to head a little further afield than the pools of Mandalay, there are also mules (golf cart style buggies) that you can use to get around.
If you can pull yourself away from the beautiful exterior of Mandalay Estate you won’t be disappointed. Despite the beautiful decor and architecture, there are a number of things to do and places to go within the villa. The Bamboo Lounge is your own personal fully-stocked bar and is the perfect place to relax at the end of the day. There is also a games room, music rehearsal room and film library with over 2000 films to choose from.
The Writers Cottage
The only part of Mandalay which was off-limits when owned by Felix was The Writers Cottage, as this was where he would live during his months at Mandalay and is where he wrote a number of poems. For guests staying at Mandalay Estate now, The Writers Cottage comes as a part of the villa, so you can feel welcome to stay within the cottage. The space inside is open plan and has a contemporary feel; featuring three macassar bookcases and its own balcony with stunning views, The Writers Cottage really is a dream when it comes to relaxing on holiday.
The Studio
Originally built as a recording studio for David Bowie and nestled within Mandalay’s tropical gardens is The Studio. A self contained one bedroom property, perfect if you’re visiting in a group but want a little bit of privacy. When Mandalay Estate was owned by Felix Dennis, this is where he would send honeymooning couples due to the romantic nature of the studio.
Dedicated Team
